My hobby is to show my dogs.    I have to admit, I do not attend nearly as many shows as I used to, but enjoy it as and when time permits.   My Bolognese are shown at various shows around the country.   I enjoy this activity as it gets the dogs and myself out and about to various venues.   At shows one meets like minded people who have furthering the breed at heart.

My first Bolognese (Fabio Amorosa with Devonia) was 2002's joint top dog, an accolade that I am very proud of.   Thanks for this must go to Gina and Martin Taylor from Gloucester who bred him and kindly let me have him to campaign.   He was Best Dog in breed at Crufts the following year.  (Sadly he is no longer with us, as we had a burglary and was very badly injured).

I have imported three dogs, two bitches and the other a dog from Italy the country of origin as I believe these to be of the true standard.  Sara (Sara with Devonia)  the bitch had Reserve Best Bitch at Crufts in 2004 under Judge Mr. R.G. Beauchamp (USA) and again in 2005 under breed specialist Carol Alcock, and also best bitch in breed at UK Toy Dog in March 2005 under breed specialist Stuart Band.   Sara also had Best of Breed at Bournemouth Championship Show in August 2006 under breed specialist Anne Good.    Sara went on to be awarded Best Bitch in breed at Crufts 2007 and again at United Kingdom Toy Dog Championship show in March 2007 where she also gained the title of best of breed.   Since March she has had various best bitches in breed at Championship Shows.    Sara retired from the show ring in March 2008 and is taking a well earned rest.

My dog Quirino (Quirino with Devonia) I imported in 2004 again from Italy, is a lovely dog, has a fantastic temperament, but has been shown only very lightly as he does not enjoy it very much, he has had one Reserve Best of Sex in Breed at Three Counties show in 2005 and Best Dog in Breed at Bournemouth Championship Show in August 2006.   I brought him out again in 2010 and at UK Toydog Show he had Reserve Best Dog.

I started to campaign Bella (Devonia La Vita E' Bella) born 3rd May 2006, (home bred) during 2007.   Her numerous show wins can be seen on a previous page..

I am also the proud owner of a third imported dog  a bitch from Italy, (Radamantino Gaia with Devonia) who at her first three championship shows received a 1st in her class.    She has aso achieved two Reserve best bitch in breed one at Three Counties under Andrew Brace and the second at Paignton Championship Show under Peter Jolley.   She was beaten on this occasion by Bella.   Gaia although shown only lightly has also had another couple of reserve best bitch in breed in 2008.

On the 22nd April, 2006 the British Bolognese Club held its first ever Open Show.    Best Dog Puppy in Show is proudly owned by my Daughter.   This was Leo's second show.  Sire Quirino with Devonia, Dam Sara with Devonia.    Leo also had Reserve Dog in breed at Bournemouth Championship Show in August 2006.   He was reserve to his Dad Quirino.     This was a first for the Devonia Kennel in the fact that we obtained, Best Bitch and Best of Breed, Best Dog and Reserve Best Dog.   Devonia Bolognese also did a triple at Paignton & District Championship Show in August 2008 in that we had Best Puppy with Devonia Altivia who also had reserve best dog, Radamantino Gaia with Devonia had Reserve Best Bitch and Devonia's La Vita E'Bella had Best Bitch together with Best of Breed.

The British Bolognese Club held is 2nd Show on 21st April 2007 and Sara received Reserve Best Bitch in breed and Bella Best puppy in breed.    Bella is show here on the right.
