Well, here’s my diary for October… and November. You’re probably wondering, where have I been for so long? Well, that’s easy. Right here, at home. The reason why you haven’t heard from me recently is because someone, namely my brother Lewis, kept forgetting to type it up! Well, I don’t know. And don’t you think I’m silly for not being able to type up on a keyboard, aren’t these adventures clever enough for any dog? And Bella, if you’re reading this or listening to it, whatever, I know the womanly instinct. They think they are better at multitasking and being neat and tidy than us men. Well, think again. I look very neat and tidy when I’m washed and had a groom and I can multitask when I’m doing Mad-Dog-Mendoza (running around wildly in a kind of ‘circuit’), when I run and maintain my good sense of direction at the same time (well, I think it’s very good). And to all them back at me old home in Weston and to anyone who’s reading this:
I wish you a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and many Happy Returns! So read on for October… November… and a bit of December. And you though novels were long (tehe)!
| October Well, October included my sister, Paige’s Birthday! It was her 8th, so she’s 8 and a few months and days now. Hey, wait, I guess you already figured that! Anyway, for her Birthday, we went on holiday and stayed in a lovely flat called ‘Sutcliffe House’ in Weymouth, it was, I’ll say again, lovely! We went with our Nanny and Grandpa who came with us, my parents, siblings and I. Notice my correct use of grammar, well at least, I think its correct | November Well, you know for us Dogs, a good day is always fun and great and loud noises are often scary and aggravating. Fireworks, to be precise. I never used to mind them until we all went to a Firework Display in Swanage last year and I got scared out of my skin. Now, I always bark at me. Once, when Lewis was left in the house with just me and him, I think I got a bit uncontrollable! Anyway, they didn’t last for that long really, did they?. |
HALLOWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!
Well, of course, in October, there’s a time that I guess we all know about, whether we celebrate it or not. Anyhow, we do. Obviously not on the same level of Christmas because
#It’s the most wonderful time, of the year!!!!!!!!#.
Anyway, Halloween, I had a very fun time and to think, the most wonderful time of the year was still yet to come. I dressed up in my little doggy wizard costume and pranced around in that – hehe!
Bonfire Night!
Now, Bonfire Night, Bonfire Night – that’s certainly something. To be honest, it’s a bit annoying and scary. I mean, yeah, they’re pretty but people say I’m pretty (and I love them too) but I don’t make loud banging noises that make people scared. But, anyway, they enjoy them so fair enough. My owners didn’t go to a firework display this year, or have any in their back garden but there were a lot around us. I mean, do fireworks smell that bad? Because sometimes, I’ve heard a strange popping sound coming from people and people say: Have you done a fire cracker? And then there is a smelly pong in the air. I have done them before, I have to admit. Now Mum, Bella, don’t worry if you want to admit, you won’t lose your dignity. It’s normal to blow off! Anyway, next month, it is CHRISTMAS! WHOO WHOO DE WHOO!
Speak to you soon guys!
Ciao!
Read on for My Christmas Diary 2008 and my New Year one will be written in the New Year as that seems convenient. Thanks for reading and/or listening to my diary’s so far. Hope you enjoy the many more to come – (us Dogs have a lot of adventures!).
Chico’s Christmas Diary 2008
Woof! Woof! And welcome to my
Christmas Diary 2008!
Advent
Well Advent is obviously as I expect you all know from the 1st December to the 24th. 24th being the last day of advent and that was very exciting. In advent, we have many advent calenders, and, although I do not have any of my own, I do get lots of Christmas goodies and presents. What I mean is, I get lots of presents for a dog at Christmas and I love my family so much.
Christmas Eve
Well, Christmas Eve marked the day that Nanny and Grandpa arrived for their Christmas stay. They came at around dinner time or just a bit earlier to bring some of their stuff for their stay and we were VERY EXCITED!!!!! Then they came a bit later to stay!!!! HOW COOL IS THAT! Christmas was just round the corner! Then on Christmas Eve Night, I heard that a man called Santa was coming. Santa sounds very, very exciting and they were looking at a thing called Norad Track Santa on Google Earth that lets you track Santa on his tracks around the world. Now, on Christmas Eve night, Lewis and Paige were hanging up their stockings and when we woke up in the morning, there were stockings for everyone! AND a lot of presents! I was so excited, we all were, Christmas is practically the most wonderful time of the year, it is. #IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME... OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!# I got a squeaky Christmas Tree, squeaky stocking and much more, the others got loads too. Lewis got his laptop which he is using to type most of/all of this up and Paige had loads of presents to build up the price, everyone is equal you see. Christmas is so AMAZING!!!! We played Bingo, Boys Names Girls Names etc...etc... Lewis had to wait days to get his laptop because the original one he got for Christmas was broken down. But still, he got a brand new one so it worked out better in the end, even though the price was higher for the new one, it was more expensive. Now Christmas was so, so amazing but if I go into all the detail, It’ll take ages to get onto the next bit.
New Year
HAPPY NEW YEAR LADIES AND GENTS, BOYS AND GIRLS AND DOGS ALIKE!
At New Year we stayed up until midnight and after the bongs of Big Ben, we sang Auld Lang Syne and went in and out of a circle and said Happy New Year in New Years celebrations. Now was the dawning of a New Year and lets hope for it to be a very good one too!
January was Mummy’s Birthday
February was Pancake Day
Lewis can’t really remember all the details now but he will try to update monthly from now on.
Yours Pawfully,
Chico
Ladies and Gents, Chico here and I am here to let you know a bit about my wonderful 3rd (or 25th) birthday. Why 25th? Well an online converter which is more accurate than the commonly believed 7 years for every 1 says that 3 goes to 25 so there you go. Just a few things to say before we go on:
Happy Birthday Bella and Co.
Thanks Mum and Dad for producing us
Thanks to Chris and Brian for looking after me when I was a very small pup and continuing to look after Bella, Mum, Dad and Co and to let you know I am very happy here in my new home and I love my family very much and vice versa.
And to welcome little Morse (Devonia Altivita) to the family who I have never yet met but would love to.
Also, I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone well.
Now for the antics and adventures that are in: My 3rd Birthday Diary.
3 TODAY!
Well, in April we had my human brother Lewis’s Birthday first on the 18th and then my Grandpa Alan’s Birthday after, on the 25th. Then on the 3rd of May, it was time for my birthday. So what exactly is a birthday – well a birthday that people come out to the world basically, after spending time in the mother’s womb. So that means on the 3rd of May 2006, my twin siblings and I were born. I don’t think I remember being born, I don’t think anyone does. I don’t think I can remember being in Mummy’s tummy either – can you imagine that? If your Mum gets fed a sausage or cheese – I like cheese by the way! How yummy and scrumptious would that be, eh? Very I think. And again, as always, my family, the lovely lot, spoilt me rotten. Presents from not only Mummy, Daddy, Paige and Lewis but also Nanny and Grandpa. Nanny and Grandpa bought me some apparently Doggie suitable chocolate. However, it still contained cocoa and Lewis read on the internet that this can kill dogs. So, instead, Daddy and Grandpa ate some! I don’t think Daddy was too keen but Grandpa thought it was quite nice I believe. Well there you go! Chocolate that’s meant for dogs and the humans like it! Well! I did, however, already have a doggie Easter Egg which is suitable for dogs. Still, it’s the thought that counts and I’m always grateful for all the love and care my family give me!
Lewis: We’re always grateful for all the love and care always give us cute little Cheeky babe!
Another birthday present which I got early is my new Doggie Sofa. I like getting in it and resting before I go into my cage for the night. I sometimes like lifting up the cushion on the bottom and sleep with that laying over me like a quilt – these human sleeping arrangements are pretty nifty and good as well as our traditional dog ways!
Now, shall we carry on for the rest of May 09, I think we shall. Don’t go away, we’ll be back after the commercial break.
ADVERT: This programme is sponsored by Dog’s ‘Я’ Us – Quality Dog products from the Dog’s Superstore!
Anyway, as there is no commercial break, we shall continue with May ’09, straight away.
Rest of May ‘09
Well, in May, there was a half-term for the kids and Lewis had Friday the 22nd off whereas Paige had Monday the 1st of June off due to different school inset days. Anyways, we were due to go on holiday to Cirencester in our lovely touring caravan on Friday the 22nd, but recently, we had noticed our new nice car – a Ford Galaxy had become quite sluggish. Then, a man who Daddy knows said your car sounds rough Mike, or something so we had to get it checked out and returned to us – all in about 24 hours! We were waiting for the mechanic virtually all day, Lewis was getting anxious and pacing around which was creating other people to get anxious and eventually, we got hold of the mechanic, the car was fixed and it came home. So, we could go on holiday after all! The car towed like a dream compared to our old car. I mean, you can tell the caravan’s there but it’s much better than our old Renault Espace which has burnt the clutch several times when reversing the caravan, hill starts etc... Anyway, holiday was great! We got there on the Friday night and had some fun that night and then on Saturday we went into Cirencester and also had a walk through the Cirencester Park – both of which are beautiful and in the evening, we played outside and had more fun and then Britain’s Got Talent was on. Now I sleep in my cage down the other end of the caravan so I couldn’t watch the TV from there but I could listen. Then on Sunday, Nanny and Grandpa came to visit us for the day. Again we went into Cirencester and also went through the park and also discovered the Abbey Gardens, which we never really had before. Britain’s Got Talent was on again – the first semi-final so they watched that – by which time Nanny and Grandpa had gone home. We also went to pub both these days and we passed a container of water saying ‘Dog’ and if I remember correctly I had a bit of a drink from it. We also have a portable Dog water bottle which is cool – unless it’s been in the sun. Tehe – good joke? Get it? Cool – as in cool dude and cool unless it’s been in the sun? Funny, eh?! Anyway, then Monday, we came home and Paige and Lewis went back to school week commencing 1st June with Paige going back a day later due to the different inset days.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my Birthday and April/May Diary and hope you look forward for my next diary entry! In fact, I think I enjoy every second of my life with my family (I think he does and I expect he thinks the same) and I hope you enjoy reading my diary updates.
Speak to you soon
Love,
Chico
